German Shepherd

When I was 5 years old my mom told me that we were

going to go look at some puppies.

I was kind of scared because I never had a puppy.

We went to look at some at this ladies house and I pointed this

one female out to my mom. We took her home with us and she

automatically became part of the family.

Right down to the walks in the park in the morning to the

evening television and bath.

One major thing I recall is when my mom would draw my bath water

and the Sheba would jump in before I ever got a chance.

As I started to get older so did she,we grew together except she

grew a little faster than I did. I just started college a couple of

years ago and she came with(I rented a house that she so she could

be with me). She greeted me every night I came home from school,

and when I’d have a problem with homework she’d always seem

to look at the paper I was writing and try to figure it out for me. Ha.

It is so hard for me to write this because she just passed away.

It all started Saturday March,5.

She woke me up early like always so we could go set out

by the lake and watch the sunrise. She raced me down there like

always and we set down together, and she put her head on my lap.

You see this was nothing unusual because she always did this.

Well then she closed her eyes. I said wake up sleepy head your

the one that was in such a hurry to get down here only she

didn’t open her eyes back up. I knew then that she had left me.

I stayed down there for awhile crying and asking God why.

Come to find out she was in normal condition except she was just old.

After all I guess she was 15 years old. It was her time to go.

I still have been going down to the lake and it’s kind of nice

because it seems when I watch that sun come up that

her face appears in it and tells me everything will get better.

I hope so.

I LOVE YOU SHEBA!!!!
