Smoky

June 1994 —– Feb. 2000

Jay was there the day you was born.

In a litter of six you were the largest and fuzziest.

(Interesting for a short hair dachshund.)

You were his favorite. 6 weeks later I brought you home.

You learned to go on walks by walking between the neighbors

dogs’ legs (which he didn’t much like).

When you liked someone you let them know it.

When you didn’t you peed on them. You had a difficult health life.

You were very protective of anyone petting you at the time.

But you always went to my mom (who didn’t like dogs too much).

But I knew why she always sneaked treats to you when she

thought no one was looking. (You two fooled no one!)

Today we had to make the hardest decision for you.

We will miss you forever.

And pray for the day when we will all be

together again.

We love you Smoky.
