1985 —– 1999
She was a Christmas present in 1985 when I was ten.
From the first moment I saw her little furry face
I was in love!
For fifteen years she gave me unconditional love.
When she got sick earlier this year my heart sank.
What would my life be like without my beloved puppy?
The decision to put her to sleep was the hardest one
of my life by far!!!! In the end however I knew the
best way to give back to her for all she had given to
me was to end her suffering:
To give her a death with dignity.
To say she was my best friend is an understatement.
Her mere presence in a room could brighten my mood and
the touch of her cold nose on my hand followed by
the feel of her head could change my perspective.
I have so many wonderful memories of her!
My favorites however are the ones when we played
in the snow together! She was the best playmate
because she never got cold and she never complained
about wet gloves!
I miss her more than words can say but I also know how lucky
I was to have had so many wonderful years with her!!
What else can I say but I love you Soki and you will
be in my heart forever.
