3 weeks ago I put my kitty of 16 years down. Today my Spanky baby (13 year old Yorkie) passed away while at the vet. How is it that I am so lucky? Because I had the honor of knowing, loving, being loved by these two incredible animals. It hurts though, I have never felt hurt like this… but I owe it to Spanky and Kitty to go on and remember the happy times. Spanky had been blind and a diabetic for about 6 years, so although he required two insulin shots a day, and occasional guidance to avoid obstacles, really… HE was the one that cared for me.
I'll love them both for the rest of my life.
