Swiss

I found Swiss at an old rundown hotel called the Swiss Chalet.

There was a brown dog chained outside on a concrete sidewalk with

nowhere to go. This angered me very much. I went to talk to the people to

see if they would give up the dog only to find out they had another one.

A very soft and beautiful black and white beagle mix. I took her

and coincedentally named here Swiss.

Swiss became a part of the family immediatly. She love to cuddle

and found her favorite spot wrapped around your neck.

Her fur was silky giving her the nickname “silky Swiss”.

She loved everybody and was very humorous.

Swiss loved me unconditionally. I knew this because no matter where

we went she was content just being with me.

I used to hold her in my arms and she would wrap her little paws

around my neck giving me a hug.

Swiss was my baby. A year and a half after getting her she slipped

by me as I was walking out the door. I watched her run down the driveway,

as the sound of an engine roared from around the corner.

In a split second I saw my baby’s body rolling under a larg car.

All I remember is screaming her name out at the top of my lungs.

She rolled to the side of the road. I remember nothing else but feeling her soft

silky body go cold.

Swiss was buried that night. I cried for weeks wanting her to curl up

next to me in bed. Her collar had been severed her little bone ID

scrapped across the road.

My heart bleeding and aching. I miss Swiss very much.

The nightmare of July 5 1997 will never end.
