Chihuahua
Xena was the most prettiest pup I’ve ever seen.
She was tan with tiny dark eyes and tiny floppy ears that
bounced when she ran. She was playful and loving.
My husband swore Xena loved him most until one day he
held her in his hand and began rubbing his nose on hers.
As he did this he kept saying “see she loves me more”.
As he was saying this Xena bit the tip of his nose.
It was so funny how she just sat there looking at me as if she
were saying “that will show him not to brag”.
Two weeks later Xena got sick.
I took her to the vet but there was nothing he could do.
He really tried to save her but it ended up that she had
worms in her heart. The pet store sold me a sick pup.
Now I’m besides myself in agony over her loss.
I know I’ll see her again in heaven waiting for me by the
big beautiful gates.
I just want to say that I love Xena and I miss her.
Not a day goes by that I don’t think of her.
I look at her empty food dish and the sweater I bought her.
Sometimes I think the vet will call to tell me it wasn’t her that
died but that’s not going to happen.
She now rests under a shade tree in the park.
I’ll never forget my Xena she showed me how to
love an animal.
