Our loving Brooke,
Our hearts are aching with your loss today on November 7, 2007.
Your sistermate “Bridge’s”
birthday was today.
You are both together now
as you were soulmates on this earthly place.
Oh, how we remember your puppyhood. You always loved to chew everything in sight. You soon grew
out of this chewing stage and one day you surprised us by going outside and walking the line and waiting for us to follow. We have followed you for over ten loving years.
You loved checking out all of the scrubs and bushes in your “hunting game” and were so regal when you thought you spotted
something for a prize.
We have so many loving memories of you, dear sweet Brooke that I could write a book on all of your cute ways. When we would talk to you, you would move your head in listening. We always called you the “Brookster”. You protected your family by your doorbell bark and we would know that someone was there.
You loved your Vanilla cookies and we always went for our “cookie walks” inside and outside. Now you have all the cookies you want, dear gentle friend. Please share some with your sistermate as they were always fun to give to you both. “Say Please”….and you always did.
You and your sistermate “Bridge” became soulmates and when we got Breeze you all three were our “three girls”. What a pair you three were with all of your own sweet personalities and this gave us strength and so much love. You were the queen of the house.
This past year during your checkup, they found that you had the beginning stages of kidney disease. Our caring vets put you on medication which would help slow this process down. Today you lost the battle and we had to make the gut wrenching decision to put you to rest. You went with dignity and so much love surrounding you as you gave back to us all of those wonderful 10 and half years. You layed your paw on my hand to let me know that it was okay, Mom, before you were put to rest with your special silk rose resting on you. As my tears flowed onto your face, you knew that you were loved and cherished so deeply.
Brooke, we love you so much. We will always carry a place in our hearts for you. Your paintings and pictures surround the house and follow us no matter where we go.
Your unconditional love is a true gift of your heart and I know that you will be with us always in loving spirit.
Your gentleness, playfulness and love will never be forgotten.
Rest well, our gentle friend.
♥”To Where We Are”♥
Who can say for certain, maybe you’re still here …
I feel you all around me, your memory so clear.
Deep in the stillness I can hear you speak.
You’re still an inspiration ~
can it be that you are mine forever, love.
And you are watching over me from up above.
Fly me up to where you are beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight to see you smile,
if only for a while, to know you’re there ~
a breath away’s not far to where you are.
Are you gently sleeping here inside my dream
and isn’t faith believing
all power can’t be seen.
As my heart holds you, just one beat away,
I cherish all you gave me every day.
Because you are mine, forever love,
watching me from up above.
And I believe that angel’s grieve
as our love will live on and never leave.
Fly me up to where you
are beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight to see you smile,
if only for a while, to know you’re there ~
a breath aways not far to where you are.
I know you’re there …
a breath aways not far to where you are.
With all of our hearts of love,
Carole and Ken Miller |
