Nov. 11 1988 —- Still Alive

Schnauzer

In 1988 my oldest son Butch was killed in a car

accident he was 27 years old.

I told my husband and my only other child Freddie that I

wanted a puppy something to hold to cuddle…a baby to “mother”.

My husband said no my son said “go for it Mom I understand you

need this in your life right now.” I saw an ad in the paper about

a female Schnauzer who needed a home so I called the lady and

met her on my lunch hour at home. I immediately purchased this

darling shaking little fur ball asked my son to babysit her

and promptly went back to work.

I thought if I hurried I could make it home before my husband

and try to explain. When I got home he was already home and

very angry with me. He wouldn’t speak to me he wouldn’t have

anything to do with my baby girl whom I had named Chelsee.

This went on for almost a week I bonded with her my son bonded

with her but my husband just ignored us.

One evening when I got home from work little Chelsee was

excited to see me and I accidentally stepped on her little foot

she cried and ran to my husband begging sympathy.

He bent down and picked her up kissed her sweet face and

said to her “Did your mamma hurt you?”

They were buddies! I was so happy. She is such a part of our family

sleeps between us and when she wakes up in the morning

she stretches and rubs her little eyes with her paws.

Life was good but painful trying to cope with the loss of our son.

In 1995 my youngest son went home to be with the Lord

and his brother my world fell to pieces.

Little Chelsee has been with me through the death of both of

my children and continues to bring joy and love into my life.

I know this little girl was Heaven Sent to help me through the

painful nights without my precious sons so I want to

say thank you God for sending me this little

Schnauzer from Heaven..
