Gossimer by Ticia, Jeff &Matthew Brown / Daddy

My Gossimer
The greatest cur
A man could ever have known.
From a puppy in a junk yard
To a big fluffy dog he’d grown.
He was so gentle and smart
It breaks my heart
To ever see him go.
There are a few things
About this dog I think that you should know.
He broke off a piece of his Milkbone
And nuzzled it over to our little Ally dog.
Now when did you meet a dog that shared
And wasn’t a big old hog?
On Sunday he’d bring my wife her Times Magazine.
In his whole 35 pound body
There wasn’t a bone that was mean.
If I told him I wanted my brown shoes
After he brown shoes he would go.
He loved to ride in the car
With his head out the window.
He was always afraid of thunder
This was no surprise.
A heart attack in a thunder storm
was the key to his demise.
Please sleep well my dear old friend
And protect the ones before you
Like nanna and poppy and mom and dad.
You are the best friend I ever had.

With Love,
Gossimer
