March 15 1986 — May 14 2001
Dog
Hunny was given to me just after high school graduation in 1986.
She was small enough to fit in the palm of my hand and had the prettiest
coat of “honey” colored fur.
She quickly became my best buddy and riding partner
(all I had to do was open the car door and away we went).
She was there for my marriage and my divorce (and all the ups and
downs in between). She was there to catch my tears and hear my laughs.
Hunny even approved of the new love that I had found.
She was there for me through the losses of my mother and grandmother
(always knowing that all I needed was quiet companionship),
as well as the births of my two beautiful children.
Two years ago she began to go blind but that didn’t seem to slow her down.
She was very patient with both of my children as well as the introduction
to the new pet we acquired (a pug named Scooter).
She was a my little trooper to the end.
She lay at my feet (as she did every morning) early on May 14 2001
went to sleep and passed over to the rainbow bridge.
We were together at the beginning as well as at the end.
I was very fortunate to have a “friend” like her. Never questioning,
always present and always there.
Sleep now my friend.
We will see you again at the Rainbow Bridge.
Tell Momma Mamaw and Tiger, that we love and
miss them too.
BETH
