Jack was a miniature Dachshund, with his tail bent in the shape of a “J”. I remember when I first got him, it was christmas time, he fit in the palm of my hands, he was so tiny and cute.
One day it had been raining really hard and he got trapped under our house, but then the fire department and my mom saved him through a small crack in the side of our house. He was always roudy and running around and barking at strangers.
Jack, and my other dog Rosie used to chase me around and we’d always play tag. I loved them to chase my sister too, she would run like crazy to get away, and then we both would jump up on the trampoline to get away from them.
When he was really little we made him warm “clothes” so he could play in the snow with me, it was so funny the first time he saw snow, he started to run out and sank down in the snow, and then he started jumping around trying to get out, then I went and helped him.
One day we were at a friends house and they had a baby, she dropped her binki and then Jack picked it up and started sucking on it
like a little baby.
It’s been almost four years since I had jack and today he died of heart failure, it felt like someone ripped my heart out and stomped on it a thousand times. I was glad that I could be with him in his last few moments of life, I will never forget him. I LOVE YOU JACK. You were the best dog, and friend in the entire world and no one can ever replace you. We love you.
Love,
Jack |
