Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there I do not sleep.
I am the diamond glints on snow
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry

A PRAYER FOR JC
RECEIVE OUR GOD the return of your wondrous creation JC.
She has been brave in the face of adversity.
GRANT us a measure of consolation and peace in knowing
that we have fulfilled our responsibility to her.
IN MY GRIEF help us to remember and appreciate
that her loving devotion was Your gift to us
and to be thankful for the time I shared her life.
LET YOUR LIGHT warm her soft coat
Your love fill her brave heart.
ALLOW her to frisk freely and without pain
in Your glorious realm until we meet her again.
