Cocker Spaniel / Mix
I had just gotten married two months before and
my 30th birthday was coming up.
I ask for a cocker spaniel puppy. When my husband got home
that afternoon I was sitting in the living room.
All of a sudden it sounded like a horse coming through the kitchen.
In runs this dog and jumps on me and gives me this big lick.
Ron said Happy Birthday.
I said I wanted a cocker spaniel puppy.
He said I went to the pound and this one only had a few days before
they done away with him. He said I can take him back.
After looking into those big eyes I said no way.
We named him Max. We kept him in the house for 6 months
but he always liked the backyard better.
So that is where he ended up staying. Three years later we had our
daughter Angela. He loved her so much and was so good to her.
For 14 years he was the best dog I had ever seen.
He was so easy going. We might have saved his life but
he gave us so much more.
Love
Vicki
