Dogs
I wasn’t there when my parents got Max. See I was adopted.
When I moved in at the age of 11 I felt like Max was the one
I could always run and talk to. Because I knew
he would never tell anyone what I felt.
He just kept them inside.
Well about the age of 13 my be loved Max had to be put to sleep.
He had gotten cancer that had formed a tumor on his head.
I spotted the tumor and didn’t know what it was.
I told my mother and she called the vet.
We had to go see a lot of different vets to see what it was.
When we found out what it was we
then wanted a second answer that was the same.
Even though we wanted Max to stay with us we knew in our hearts
that it would be better for him to be put to sleep.
The night my day took Max to be put to sleep I cried myself to sleep.
I remember how he use to sit on my lab in the chair.
I remember how he was always right by my side.
He was a great dog to have.
After we put Max to sleep we didn’t get a new dog for quite some time.
We now have a dog named Rolly who seems like
there is a part of Max inside of him.
Rolly loves to play in the snow like Max use to.
He listens to everything I have to say. He is always right by my side.
This family story is for Max and Rolly both.
Two are the greatest dogs in the world to me.
