Pooh Bear

Dec. 2000 —– Oct. 31 2001

Australian Shepherd Mix

Pooh Bear was the neatest dog.

I found him at a little grocery store by our house.

He needed a home.

I already had another dog which was also a dog

I got from the store a year before.

Her name is Sage (blue heeler mix).

Sage needed a playmate so that is how Pooh Bear came to be.

Pooh and Sage just loved to play.

I was afraid that the neighbors would get mad

because Pooh would go out and explore and

bring all kinds of things that were not ours home.

Well Pooh just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time and

was hit by a truck.

I will never forget that night as it was Halloween and

the little kids were trick and treating.

They came by the house that evening to see Pooh.

My husband had to tell them that we lost him.

If you could only see the look on their faces.

Pooh was a goofy dog.

He just loved to have fun. He loved everyone.

It is amazing how many of our neighbors

wanted to know where Pooh was.

He is missed by so many.

On the lighter side I got Sage a new little brother.

He was another dog that needed a home.

His name is Leo and I have to tell you he is just like Pooh.

I had my husband install a invisible electric fence.

I do not want what had happened to Pooh Bear to happen to Leo.

The little neighbor kids now come to our house to play with the dogs.

Pooh Bear you will never be replaced.

You are always in our hearts.

How you affected a neighborhood so much I will never know.
