German Shepherd
I remember Sergeant came to us as a small puppy with big ears.
When I saw him the first thing I said was he was a
big galoot ears bigger than his little body.
As the months went by he grew into the most beautiful
dog that I have ever owned.
Now Sarge had a body to match his one time huge ears.
He stood tall and proud as he over looked our home guarding it from
harms ways warning others that this was his home and he would
defend it to the end.
Everynight he would come in to say goodnight and rest his head
on my lap as I would drift to sleep until he would nudge me and look
as to say it’s time to go out again and stand my watch with my
other brother and sisters and master rest assure that we will protect all
until the sun comes up shines warmly on our faces.
Sergeant I love and miss you dearly but I know that your spirit
still watches over us with the rest of your family forever and
with each tear I shed you will feel that your life was
more than just a friendship but that of a equal to me.
So stand your guard and keep us safe.
Your Eternal Love Forever
