Cats
I was ten years old when we bought Toby from a
pet store in Brameli he was the cutest little thing a grey Tabby.
We brought him home he slept in a cardboard box on a soft blanket
I pet him for so long as he purred his little heart out.
I was the only one in my family that could make him purr.
Shortly after Toby came into our lives my sister Tania came home
with Thomas a black and white fluffy little kitten.
Both Toby and Thomas got along perfectly Thomas took on the
role of being very adventurous as Toby became more of a
“Mississaga indoor cat”.
They both slept in the laundry room at night and every morning
Toby would wake me up.
It was heart breaking when I went to University and didn’t have
my cat to come into my room and wake me up.
We loved them both so much they made up the family.
Time passed and fourteen years later Toby was getting very
skinny and we were told he had a thyroid problem so he
was put on pills.
One weekend in November Thomas got really sick he didn’t
move from the same spot in the living room and it seemed like
he kept gasping for air.
My parents decided to take him to the vet where he started screaming
his tongue turned blue and he passed away.
Two days later my parents took Toby to the vet they had to put him
down as he was too week to even lift his head.
A tragic state of affairs and so strange that they both passed
away so close to each other.
We will never ever forget the impact these beautiful cats made
in our lives and we know they are together
forever watching us.
I loved my Toby and Thomas.
